NOTES about NBRC:
This is a club of racers that is coordinated by a long time racer and promoter of the annual G-Jet Enduro Fundraiser on his challenging Nuvolari track, John Stezelecki. Along with John is a field of racers whose characters and personalities are congenial and friendly. But, make no mistake, when their controllers are hooked up and the green flag drops you are in for some of the best slot car racing in the Northeast and New England. Right here on this page you will see the names of those racers. They are dedicated to the hobby and their skills building and racing(driving) are 2nd to none. But don't be intimidated. All started out at the entry level. If you are curious stop in some Wednesday at the scheduled track and see how they operate. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
The NBRC ran two classes last night. The first race was on the Shamrock Glen and we raced the ECHORR legal Aurora F1 . Peter Lentros took the checked flag by one lap over Rob Hayes. Congratulations to Peter. We had two new drivers last night. George Donovan from East Bridgewater and John Borg from Lakeville. Both drivers had but a minute practice in both races that we ran last night. They put on a pretty impressive performance for such little time on both tracks. Posted 05/10/2012 –

The second race was won by Mr. Hayes and was in the reverse order of the first race, Hayes defeated Lentros by one lap. Congratulations to Mr. Hayes for a fine win in the BSRT F1 G-Jet Class on the Car Model Magazine Track.
Next week the NBRC will be racing in Cambridge, MA. at Catfish International Raceway, 31 Sacramento Street. Plenty of parking in the rear. More information will come on Monday about the classes that will be raced on the Fish.
The Nuvolari Enduro is 9 days away. Get ready for one of the most exciting New England races of the year.

Race Results
Congratulations to Rob Hayes for a 13 lap victory in the BSRT F1 902 class last night on the Catfish International track. Great job by Mr. Hayes.
John Reimels made up for a poor 902 race by winning the next two BSET G-Jet races in F1 hard body configuration and lexan body configuration. Great job John. Please see the pdf enclosed for complete results.
Hello Alan Sutherland,
It's been a while since we have seen Alan. He's been among the missing while nursing a nerve damaged arm and hand. It's unfortunate to have such an injury but to make matters worse, it's his controller hand that's injured. Alan arrived late last night and didn't get any practice time on the track. He did well considering he had no practice and has been out of action so long. Nice job Alan.
Tonight, Tom Gumina will host two races at Berlin Racway. The first race will be Nostalgia T-Jets using original Aurora T-Jet bodies. Second race will be Sportsman class. Both races will be on the Wizzard road course.
This Saturday, Bruce Gordon will have two races on his monster Beast Of The East 8 lane oval track. The first race will be BSRT F1 G-Jets and the second race will be the Nosatlgia class using original Aurora T-jet bodies. Expect to see a classic battle between the Batmobile and the Green Hornet cars.
The Nuvolari Enduro is scheduled for May 19th 2012. This years color scheme is maroon. If you have been in previous Nuvolari Enduros but have not received an invitation, please contact Rob Hayes or myself. We are missing several e-mail addresses.
Purple Mile Update:
The Sovereign is scheduled to leave California on or about May 4Th or 5Th. Hopefully it will arrive within a week of leaving California. Once the track arrives, Brad Bowman will fly out to Ashland and assemble the track.
Next week, the NBRC will back at home base in Hull, MA. The BYOC will be announced Monday.
Peter Lentros has been very busy building a new web site for the Nuvolari Enduro. The new site will be announced in a few days.Thank You

TWO FOR BRUCE AND ONE FOR JOHN Posted 04/05/2012 –
The 'Elvis' Raceway, Hingham, MA
from the desk of John Stezelecki
Last night on the Elvis track in Hingham, Bruce Gordon took first in two events while John Reimels won the last event. As usual racing was hard and close. Bruce won the ECHORR legal Aurora F1 race by two lap victory over John Stezelecki and then went on to take the Brass Wars car race by again another two laps over John Reimels. Bruce was on his way to a Triple Crown but was stopped in the third race by a very determined to win John Reimels who won the BSRT G-Jet lexan battle with a two lap victory over John Stezelecki. Congratulations to Bruce and John.
You have probably noticed in our reports the past few months that the slower class of cars are becoming more and more popular in our racing program. Is this also becoming the national trend? Stay tuned.
Tonight, Tom Gumina will host his Thursday night T-Jet racing at Berlin Raceway in Berlin, MA. If yoo have a chance to drive to Berlin tonight to race, you'll find that the trip was well worth travel. My comment: I can testify to this. Tom enjoys providing his facility and of course a racing venue for everyone. He is a great host who will run his program for everyone to enjoy. End of comment..
Next Wed. night, the Nantasket Beach Race Club will be at Lenjet Raceway/Modelville Hobby. Doors open at 6:00pm. Please use the Lenjet entryway. The BYOC will be BSRT F1 G-Jets and ECHORR legal Aurora F1. If time permit's the Hornby BMW cars will be used in IROC for a third race. Please call Peter at 508-380-3339 if your running late and want to be put on the end of a race. The NBRC loaner cars will be available.
A few weeks ago, Modelville received a fresh inventory of cars and parts from Scale Auto. All the BSRT 902 cars have very quickly sold out and Modelville plans on reordering very soon. Modelville still has some new F1 G-Jets in stock. Also they have a variety of Tomy F1snap on bodies in stock that fit the F1 G-Jet and the BSRT 902 car.
Purple Mile update; The Sovereign Purple Mile is just about complteted. Only one small section of carpeting remains to be done. Presently Peter and Brad are making arrangements to have the track delivered to Ashland. When the track arrives in Ashland, Brad will fly out from Escondido, Ca. to complete the installation. The track has taken almost 6 months to complete and appears to be one of the most incredible HO tracks ever built. Most important, it will be here in New England and ready for all clubs in the northeast to schedule races on.
Also Lenjet is a Northeast HO race facility. Peter Lentros would like all the HO clubs located in the northeast to schedule your races at Lenjet. Many clubs will be starting to pull together thier schedule for 2012 to 2013. Peter and I would appreciate if you could contact him or I to schedule your club events at the facility. The earlier you can schedule your/club event, the greater the chance on locking in a date that your club desires.
Many of you are aware that the Nuvolari Enduro was almost cancelled for 2012 due to some medical conditions that I need to address. I'm happy to report that the Nuvolari Enduro which is the major fund raiser for the Ethan Duda Scholarship Fund will continue it's run in 2012 for it's seventh season on May 19th. With your past help, the last few years, the race has raised $1500 per event. With your help again, we hope to continue to make this enduro a major fund raiser in 2012. Rob Hayes and I both hope you can pencil in May 19th and attend the Nuvolari Enduro and help us with this worthy cause.Thank You,
John Stezelecki

Last night, Gretchen and Rob served two dynamite pies during our intermission between races. Because Peter and Paul decided to race wing cars at Modelville last night, the crowd was a bit smaller than normal. This allowed Rob to serve jumbo size pieces of pie. Fantastic!
Last night was the first time that the NBRC ran Aurora F1 T-Jets as a BYOC. The T-jet F1 cars are beciming more and more popular wwithin the club. many of our members also run the cars on Thursday night at Tom Gumina's Berlin Raceway in Berlin, MA. Latley, Bruce Gordon and John Pillegi have been sharing honors for first palce in some of the T-Jet races at Berlin.
Tonight, Tom Gumina will host some T-Jet races in Berlin. His doors open at 6:00pm. If you can make the trip, you'll have a great night of fun racing in a casual atmosphere.
Next week, the NBRC will be back at it's home base at Nantasket Beach. Hope to see you at the Beach.
Additional news. Dan Decosmo has decided to keep the Clubman track at his race facility in Suffield, CT. At one time their was discussion that it was going to be brought to Ashland for Lenjet Raceway. This is actually good news for us in New England in the sense that it signals that sometime in the near future, Dan will be more active into HO racing and that's great news for all of us. In my opinion, Dan was one of the greatest leaders in MARC history and has been very instrumental in HO slot car deveopment here in New England. Hope to see you back soon Dan.

John Reimels and Bruce Gordon both took big wins last night at Lenjet Racway/ Modelville Hobby. John took a 7 lap victory in lexan G-Jets while Bruce won the T-Jet Indy F1 class by 2 laps. Congratulations to both winners for a fine victory against some very tough competition.

They were provided by Dave Muse. The link above will allow you to see some of the photos taken by Bruce Gordon. I'd like to thank both Dave and Bruce for providing the photos and pdf docs. Please check out the race results and take note of how close everyone finished and how many drivers were on the same lap of each other and were seperated only by sections.
With 19 drivers showing up to do battle last night, we dicided ( here I am taking credit), actually Dave Muse and John Reimels suggested that we split the racers into two seperate groups and race one group on the Champion track with T-Jets and the other group on the Car Model Magazine track using lexan G-Jets . Each group would swap tracks and classes once the first races were complete. This allowed us to process all both races within a reasonable time frame for a week day Wed. night race. We have done this a few times in the past with great success.
Peter and I would like to thank all the drivers who came out to Lenjet last night. Many drivers drove over two hours to get to Lenjet last night.
We had two new drivers last night. Dave and I met Keith and Mike last Saturday at Lenjet. Dave and I stayed behind at Lenjet after the Hiram/Henry T-jet race. We opened the doors between Lenjet and Modelville. Modelville had a large crowd of people and it reminded me of the 1960's days of 1/24 scale racing. Modelville is slowly but surely becoming a place of destination in Ashland. Many people strolled through Lenjet and several people stopped to play with G-jets on the Model Car track. We suggested to several people to try our Wed. night program at Lenjet. Three actually came by to check it out in which two decided on racing. The third was with his son who was racing 1/24 scale cars. He mentioned that he had to stay with his son for the evening but showed great interest in trying our Wed. night program in the near future.
Modelville Hobby has been drawing good size crowds on Saturday afternoons. I have suggested to the leadership members of both the Outlaws and HOCOC that they might consider having some members of their clubs come by on a Saturday and be availble to show off HO racing using their cars on the Lenjet tracks. It's a great way to introduce HO racing to many people who come into the raceway. I so far have heard from Russ Upton who would like to draw up some kind of schedule with us. I know this Saturday, Modelville will be hosting a big 1/24 scale race. I'll be in Danbury racing with MARC. If anyone wishes to show off our HO race hobby to the Modelville crowd this Saturday, I'm sure Peter Lentros will make accommodations for you to be able to use the Lenjet facility for this purpose. Peter's # is 1 508-380-3339. Thank You for supporting our hobby.
This Sat. MARC will be racing at Schlitzerland Raceway in Danbury, MA., the AFX track is owned by Tom Bussman. MARC will be racing both lexan G-jets and MARC Super Stock. The NBRC loaner lexan G-jets will be available.
Tonight, Tom Gumina will host T-jet racing at his Berlin Raceway at 167 River West, Berlin, MA. Berlin Racway has three tracks. One is a Wizzard High Performance road course, the second is a AFX snake design road . The third is a very long MAXX oval track. All three tracks create their own separate unique challenges. The doors in Berlin open at 6:00pm. I hope you can make it to this wonderful HO faclity tonight.
Next Wed. night, the Nantasket Beach Race Club will be at Catfish International Raceway located in the Republic Of Cambridge. Passports will not be need to enter the republic. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the building. The BYOC will be announced Monday.Thank you,

Last night the Nantasket Beach Club raced on the King Track called Elvis built by Bruce B, Jim Mac and Tom G. The track has been on and off the MARC circuit many times over the years. It's been a very popular track here in New England. I think it's now located at it's 4TH location. It is owned jointly by John Reimels and Paul Ryer. Hopefully it has found a new permanent home in Hingham, MA.
Last night, we raced Brass Wars anglewinder cars in IROC. They were built by John Reimels. The race was won by Vincent Tamburo. John had a dominating race in G-Jets and completely over powered the compitition. Great job John.
Next week the NBRC will be racing at LENJET RACEWAY/MODELVILLE HOBBY Ashland, MA.

Driving conditions due to snow and rain made me consider cancelling the evening race program here at Nantasket Beach Raceway. With geat fortune for Oh Jimmy Colligan the event went off with 5 very good drivers making it to Nantasket Beach. The racing was all on the Lady Gray 4 lane Bowman track. First race of the evening was BYO BSRT lexan G-Jets. We ran three minutes after 12 minutes of tough hard racing, Oh Jimmy Colligan walked away with his first NBRC victory by taking out Stez by one lap. No question that this was O Jimmy's finest moment since he has joined the club. Congratulations to Oh Jimmy for a well run victory.
Next week, the NBRC will be at South Shore Raceway in Hingham, MA. the BYO car will be announced by Paul Ryer.
BSRT shipped many slot car parts to Lenjet/Modelville Hobby last week. Long awaited Hot Stock arms are in for both the G-Jet and the BSRT 910 and 911 cars. I'm not sure if the parts are in Peter's office or if they are in the Modelville show case. Please call Rich before you go to Modelville and purchase the parts. Peter is in Ferndale attending the Fray race. Thank You

Guys,
Congratulations to Paul Ryer for a fine victory in the hard Body G-Jet Race. In the second race, we used the BSRT F1 902 cars with slip on silicone tires. We are testing a new race program and unfortunatly, we could not retrieve the results from the Race Management Program. Were not sure who came in 4th and 5th. Rob Hayes won the race with the fastest 902 I have ever seen. Fantastic finish for Rob.

Last night we had 17 ( seventeen) drivers show up to do battle with their Aurora F1 and BSRT G-Jets. The first race was with the Aurora F1T-Jet using ECHORR Rules. Mike Resnick put on a great show defeating Greg Williams by about one lap. Amazingly, Mike used a NBRC loaner car to win the event.
The second race didn't start till 8:45pm. We lost a few racers due to the late start but were able to hang onto 13 drivers. Much like the first race, it was close with John Reimels squeeking out a win by 2 sections over Bruce Gordon.
Congratulations to both Mike Resnick and John Reimles for these hard fought victories.
This Sat. Bruce Gordon will host the BEAST OF THE EAST race at 23 Welesley Ave., Worcester, MA. Doors open at 7:00am. There will be two races, Aurora F1 ECHORR Rules and BSRT F1 G-Jet using the Us-G-Jet Grand Prix Rules. U.S. G-Jet Grand Prix Rules.
The NBRC will be bringing approx 6-7 loaner G-Jet cars. We will also be bringing the NBRC loaner Aurora F1 T-Jets. In both classes we are limited in the amout available. Bruce will also provide loaner Aurora F1 cars.
Next Wed. night 1/25/2012, the NBRC will be racing in Hull, Nantasket Beach. Last night Peter and I discussed getting out the new NBRC web site. This site will include the Nuvolari Enduro site .Photos and race reports from the past two Nuvolari Enduros that most of you have not seen will be on this site. We ran the BSRT 902 F1 with the MARC Super Tire on the BSRT double flange rim. That's a combo that we have not used before. We also ran IROC hard body G-Jets in which we ran the Tomy hard bodies that were Ford GT 40, Chaparral and Daytona Coupe. The last and final race ran late and past Mr. Hayes normal bed time. This was the first time that we raced the BSRT 911 Super Stock Class on the Fish. I think the results were very impressive but there is no doubt that we still need to get more experience zeroing thes cars into the track. This was also Paul Crosby's first race on the track. He did quite well considering that the Fish takes a little time to get to know it.
This Saturday MARC is in CT at Bill Bonsma's . Expect a long drive. His home has no easy or direct route to get to. racing on an Atlas track should be fun and challenging.
Another big race on January 21st will be in Worcester , MA. on Bruce Gordons Beast Of The East oval track. thirty feet in each direction. Bring your binoculars! For some reason that I can't explain, I'm feeling a big day for Anthony Z . G-Jets F1 and Aurora F1 cars are on the schedule. Should be a blast. Hope to see you all at both races.
When Peter Lentros comes back from Vegas, we will be finalizing some Lenjet Series races and classes. stay tuned.Stez

Last night the NBRC raced on Elvis at South Shore Speedway in Hingam, MA. We raced the Brass Wars cars built by John Reimels in IROC form. The BSRT lexan G-Jets were BYO and the BSRT 902 F1 cars were IROC. This week the winner circle was split up betwen 3 different drivers. No one person won two or more races. Please see the results below. Posted 01/05/2012 –

It was nice to see Bill Craven, Unfortunatly he wasn't feeling well enough to race. Bill is an original NBRC member since the early 1990's.
Next week, the Nantasket Beach Race Club will be on the Catfish International Raceway located in the Republic Of Cambridge. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. The BYO car next week will be the BSRT 911 Super Stock.
The Beast Of The East oval race using the T-Jet F1 and the BSRT F1 G-Jet is scheduled for January 21st in Worcester , MA More details to come next week.Stez
Last night the Nantasket Beach Race Club raced three races. We were going to run the Slim Line chassis with F1 body but the F1 bodies were not received by the manufacturer in time for last night's event. We ran Brass Cars on the Lady Gray. G-Jet Leaxn and BSRT902 F1 on the Nuvolari. The F1 902 race was one of the closest we had from the top of the finish to the bottom finish. I'm guessing that the guys are getting real good at driving these cars. It appears that the BSRT slip on tire and double flange rim has also helped with the handling of the car. Posted 12/31/2011 –

Last night the NBRC (Nantasket Beach Race Club) had it's second annual Christmas party at Lenjet Raceway in Ashland, MA. We had 16 HO drivers attend the event. Plenty of pizza, cold drinks, cookies and pie were on hand for all. Due to the late time that the second race finished, we were only able to complete two of the threeplanned events. The first race was Aurora F1 T-jets. These cars were built using the ECHORR Rules. To no surprise, Worcester T-Jet racer Bruce Gordon won the event in convincing fashion by whipping these F1 cars around the high banked Car Model Magazine track. Bruce was the only driver to rack up a 30 lap segment. Congratulations to Bruce for a very nice win.
In the second race G-Jets were on the Shamrock Glen. This is the same track that last October Bruce Gordon won the Aurora Mini Indy T-jet event on at the GP event. The Shamrock Glen is a track that since it has arrived in Ashland has been a favorite of John Reimels. John has had great success on this track. The two Titans were about to clash and only one would come out a winner.
As expected the race was close, real close. John Reimels was able to squeak out a one lap victory over Bruce to take the victory Bruce came in second. It was a great night for both racers as each swapped first and second place from each other in two separate events. Congratulations to both drivers for a fine performance.
I'd like to thank all the drivers who were able to make last night's X-mass event. TJ Motolla was unable to race but swung by to say hello to all and wish everyone a Merry X-Mass. We would like to say Merry X-Mass to all of you.
Next Wednesday night, the Nantasket Beach Race Club will be at the Nantasket Beach Raceway located at 8 Front Street, Nantasket Beach, Hull, MA. Doore open at 6:30 pm.
Saturday January 21st a special oval race will be on Bruce Gordon's Beast Of The East located in Worcester, MA. More details to come in the beginning of January. Please mark the date on your calander.Thank You,

Catfish International Raceway
from the desk of John StezeleckiLast evening the Nantasket Beach Race Club raced two races on the MAX Track Catfish International Raceway hosted by Rob Hayes. The first race of the evening was the BSRT G-Jet in Tomy Ford GT configuration and wide front rim and tire. The second race was the BSRT F 902 in the Grand Prix configuration. This was the first time that we raced the 902 with the new BSRT slip on tire and rims combo that we used at the GP. All those racers who attended will probably tell you that the cars handled like Super Stock cars. These were are Club Cars which are not quite as fast down the shoot as our own personal cars. I'm guessing that our own personal cars using these tires would almost rival the lap times of our SS cars. They were Fantastic! See results below.
Next Wed. night, the NBRC will be racing at Lenjet Raceway/ Modelville Hobby. We will be racing Aurora F1, ECHORR rules and BSRT F1 G-Jets and maybe BSRT 902 cars if we have time. There will also be a Modelville wing car race for those who will maybe want to mix it up a little. This is also the NBRC Christmas Party. We'll have pizza and cold drinks available. Please come and join us.
January 21st, there will be a race on Bruce's Beast Of The East oval track. This race consist of the Aurora ECHORR F1 cars and the BSRT F1 G-Jet utilizing the GP rules. This should be a blast. More information will follow.
This past week, Modelville Hobby ran out of stock on the BSRT Formula 1 G-Jets . They still have the standard G-Jet in stock. The major difference between the two is the front tires and rims and maybe the rear tire and rim. I use the word maybe because their may be still some G-Jets in the case with AST tires on them . Please Check with Peter or Richie if you wish to purchase a G-jet and want to turn it into a F1 car. Keep in mind that MARC and Lenjet as well as the NBRC use both G-Jets in their racing program.
Once the HO Sovereign Purple Mile arrives and is set up at Lenjet. The very first Lenjet Series race on the track will be the BSRT 911 Super Stock car with slip on tire. Modelville has ordered from Scale Auto quite a few 911 Super Stocks in RTR form for their inventory Painted lexan bodies will be included. You may aslo turn your ceramic Super Stock ( BSRT 910) into a BSRT 911 Super Stock by simply changing the magnets over from your BSRT 902 Production car and put them into the 910 car , thus making it a 911 car. You may also purchase the very inexspensive ( about $15.00 for the set of motor and traction magnets) new bonded polymer ceramic grade magnets and simply install them in your car. Modelville presently has inventory on rims and tires but we be getting additional inventory on BSRT's smaller rims.Thank you,
Hope to see you next Wed.,
night at Lenjet/Modelville Hobby

Last night the NBRC (Nantasket Beach Race Club) members saw a real upset in the Wed. night weekly race program. Bruce Gordon halted Mike Resnicks four G-Jet F1 win streak on the Car Model Magazine track. Mike has been tearing up the track and in some cases winning by hugh marginsin the F1 class. Last night Bruce was splendid and defeated Mike by a 1 lap victory. Great job Bruce. Next week we will again be back at Lenjet Raceway. This will be our last race on the Car Model Magazine track till the U.S. G-Jet Grand Prix on October 8TH. U.S. G-Jet Grand Prix

REZ TAKES A DOUBLE, REIMELS WINS A SINGLE
Last night the Nantasket Beach Race club ran three events. The first two were on the Super Speedway Nuvolari and the third on the Lady Gray Speedway.
We didn't have any pie last night but we did get some fresh turnovers from the local bakery and the normal chips and cookies were all on the plate last night. I guess we'll need to start our diets all over again.
First race of the evening were the Trans Am G-Jets, we ran 2.30 minite heats on the six lane track. The victory went to Mike Resnick by two laps over second place John Reimels. results below..
The second race of the night was a switch from the 902 car to the Tyco IROC NASCAR , Two minute heats. This time Mike took a one lap victory over Reimels.Another outstanding run by Mike Resnick. Congratulations to Mike for two very fine runs in a row.

Nineteen Drivers showed up last night to race on the Lenjet H O tracks. The Shamrock Glen race was a shakedown race. It's the first time the track has been run on in over a year.Peter Lentros recently purchaed the track from a Ca. owner and had it shipped to Ashlans, MA. Last night we split into two groups. The first 10 drivers would race on the Shamrock Glen and the second group of 9 drivers would race on the American Black with the International 1/32 Tom Smith cars. The idea was to swaap over after each event was over. The Shamrock Glen race had mixed success. The track came witha computer system that we are still learning. The lack of the program knowledge created some computer glitches and caused some long delays. We also had problems with some of the IROC T-Jets. We completed the race but by the time we got done it was too late for the two groups to swap tracks. WE ALSO HOPE TO USE THE AMERAICAN BLACK TRACK AT THE US GRAND PRIX AS AN ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TRACK FOR AN INTRODUCTION TO 1/32 RACING.
I would like to thank all the 19 drivers for attending last nights shake down race. This will be most helpful in making our future events run smoothly. Thank You again.
During practice session on the Shamrock Glen, the cars ran great. Everyone really felt that this track is perfect for a T-Jet Grand Prix race. We'll get the computer glitches resolved and plan on another Indy T-jet race in August. Congratulations to Peter Lentros for his T-jet victory and congratulations toMike Resnick for his 1/32 International victory. Results for both classes below.

The third race was a surprise and unannounced race. We unveiled the Car Model Magazine Official Competition track ( US G-JET GRAND PRIX TRACK) and decided to have a shakedown race. Unfortunatly , it was very late in the evening when we decided on doing this but 12 racers stayed for the event. This is the first time that this table has been raced on in about 35 years. The track performed just as we expected, smooth and fast. We did leaarn a few things from the race. Most important was were the marshals should stand. Joe Eastlack and myself were the first two ginea pigs for the last two lanes. Once Joe completed his last two lanes, it was decideed that two marshal positions should stand back further than originall planned. Congratulations to Mike Resnick for the victory on the innaugural Car Model Magazine. Results below.

The airconditioners were on full blast last night and the two race rooms were real comfortable for some very close HO racing. Eight drivers showed up, not bad for a hot muggy summer night. We almost didn't get Craven to show up. He had heard that Paul Ryer was away on a camping trip with his two sons and some Brownies. Once Craven heard about the Brownies attending the camp out, he decided that he wanted to go too. Paul being well aware of Craven's enthusiasm for Brownies, respectfully declined Cravens offer. Good move Paul. Last nights results:

Guys& Gals,
I left Nantasket Beach at 2:10pm and arrived at Modelville at 5:00pm. The torrential rain storm coupled up with horrible traffic jams just made getting to the facility almost impossible. When I finally got there was was several hours behind schedule to install the lexan walls and number the sections. Fortunately,Vinnie , Paul and Tom arrived shortly after wards to give a helping hand. Many thanks guys.
We got off to a late start and looked slightly disorganized but in the end we were able to run two races.
Missing in action were regulars John Reimels who was still in China and Bill Craven who was we think was in Weymouth. Considering the horrible weather and traffic conditions, we had a decent turn out for our first race at this new facility run by Rich Payne.
RESNICK TAKES THE DOUBLE HEADER
When the G-jet race was complete, Mike Resnick must have walked away thinking that the G-jet was the greatest slot car he's ever raced. He killed the rest of the field. Congratulations to MIke for a fine run in both classes.

We look forward to continue our racing program at Modelville. The facility should be much more complete by some time in January. At that time we hope to advertise the H O program. very soon, it should be one of the best in the country.
